puddin (s.xiii)

[ gdw]

[ FEW: 1,420 *bod-; Gdf: ; GdfC: ; TL: ; DEAF:  puding; DMF: ; TLF: ; OED:  pudding n.; MED:  poding n.; DMLBS: 2562a pudingum ]
budding;  podyn,  pudding,  puddinge,  puding,  puudincque;
pl. poddingis,  podingis,  puddingis
M.E.

While a form like puddins may be considered a variant of bodins (through devoicing of the initial consonant), the -ing suffix in some of the forms suggests the influence of the Middle English word (which, ultimately, derives from the same etymon).
