recuseor (s.xiiex)

FEW:  recusare *10,169a Gdf:  recuseur 6,701a GdfC: TL: DEAF:  recuser (recuseor)  DMF: TLF: OED: MED: DMLBS:  recusatorius 2693c

The -eor suffix, unique to this citation, suggests an agent-derivative: ‘person who refuses, declines’, and is as such interpreted in Gdf (and subsequently DEAFpré).

The hapax may belong to the recuser group, producing a nominal formation equivalent to the Latin adjectival derivative recusatorius. Alternatively, the word may be a scrambled form of rescure, which has the locution sanz rescure (‘without reprieve’ or ‘without fail’), produced for the sake of the rhyme.
