[recouper]2 (1313-14)

The form recoperer is a cross reference to the following entry:

[recouper]2 (1313-14)

(recoperer (l. recoper, recopeier?))
FEW:  culpa *2,1497a Gdf: GdfC: TL: DEAF:  coupe (recouperer)  DMF: TLF: OED: MED: DMLBS:  reculpare 2691c

The word, translated in the edition as ‘going back to the question of’ and in AND1 as ‘to revert (in court) to, go back to’, is now interpreted as belonging to the culpa word family. However, as a hapax, the lexeme remains problematic, and it is possible to interpret it either as a form of recuperer or as belonging to recouper1 (‘to cut off the blood-line’).
