pecer2 (1409)

[ gdw]

[ FEW: 8,334a *pettia; Gdf: ; GdfC: ; TL: ; DEAF:  piece (pecier); DMF: ; TLF: ; OED:  piece v.; MED:  pecen v.; DMLBS: ]

Although the verb derives from the same etymon as pecer1, it is given a separate AND entry because of its very different sense. It is a sense which is exceptional in French but which is normally found in English, suggesting that this verb may be an Anglicism.
