regehissance (1214)

[gdw]

[ FEW: 16,282a *jehhjan; Gdf: 6,739a regehissance; GdfC: ; TL: 8,660 rejehissance; DEAF: G430 gehir (regehissance); DMF: ; TLF: ; OED: ; MED: ; DMLBS: ]
regeissance;  rejeisance,  rejeisaunce,  rejoisaunce,  renoissaunce

The unexpected spelling renoissaunce (with an n instead of a g or j) in one of the variant manuscripts of triv is most likely a corruption of the word rather than a true spelling variant. An alternative reading of the two minims as reijoissaunce seems unlikely.
