perice (c.1292)

[ hap]

[ FEW: *7,601a par; Gdf: ; GdfC: ; TL: ; DEAF:  per (*); DMF: ; TLF: ; OED: ; MED: ; DMLBS: 2117b paritas ]
peresce

It is possible to read perice as perité and thus a variant of parité. However, the variant reading of peresce suggests that that this could represent a formation on the etymon par + the suffix itia. It is possible the word is related to paritio (DMLBS 2118a ‘obedience, compliance’.
