The editor of Rom Fran2 translates this passage as ‘This little ditty is therefore agony to him’, interpreting enallie as a corruption of a lui (and pain as a form of peine1). While ‘little ditty’ is a possible interpretation of tirenlire (see TL tirelire 1 10,323: ‘eine Refrain’), the editorial revision of these lines seems considerable, so that the interpretation of the older (and better) edition (and TL tirelire 2 10,324) is retained for this entry. The passage remains, however, obscure.
