repareis (c.1136-37)

[hap]

[ FEW: 7,648b pariculus; Gdf: ; GdfC: ; TL: ; DEAF:  repares; DMF: ; TLF: ; OED: ; MED: ; DMLBS: ]
reparés

Short in Gaimar2 (p.414, n.4243) translates the term as ‘in turn’ or ‘again’ and notes the term, “looks to be an Insular equivalent of the adverbial expression lo parés / lo parax (T-L 7,247), used in 12th-c. translation of religious texts and rendering Latin iterum, rursus, item, denuo.” Bell, editor of Gaimar, glosses it ‘anew’, and is followed in this by AND1. The word does not seem to be attested elsewhere.
