The usage in Mir Just 24, ‘par brusure ou rasture de os’, is perhaps unexpected, where the word is translated loosely as ‘crushing’ by its editor. It is not out of the question that the word here is a corruption of fracture (cf. fraiture), as a synonym to brusure.
