luvete (s.xiii2/4)

[ gdw]

[ FEW: 14,90a uva; Gdf: ; GdfC: 10,98a luete; TL: 5,711 lüete; DEAF:  lüete; DMF:  luette; TLF:  luette; OED: ; MED: ; DMLBS: ]
luvette

It is this form, with an agglutinated l of the definite article, which has survived in Modern French as luette. The spelling with a v is not attested outside Anglo-Norman, but must preserve an (etymological) earlier form closer to uve1, uvet and uvule. Alternative interpretations of the spelling as luuete and luuette seem unnecessary.
