[gdw]

[ FEW: 15/ii,28a *busk; Gdf: 6,648c rebuchier; GdfC: ; TL: ; DEAF:  busche 1 (rebuschier); DMF:  rebuchier; TLF: ; OED:  rebuke v.; MED:  rebuken v.; DMLBS: ]
reboqer;  rebouker;  rebucker;  rebuquir

There may have been a degree of confusion between this verb and rebucher (‘to blunt’) as well as rebouter ‘to thrust back’, which are both formally and semantically close, but probably derive from different etymologies (the former from bucca, ‘mouth’ and the latter from *botan, ‘to hit, strike’).
