peoner1 (1212)

[ gdw]

[ FEW: 8,145b pedo; Gdf: ; GdfC: ; TL: ; DEAF:  peon (peoner); DMF:  pionner 2; TLF: ; OED: ; MED: ; DMLBS: ]

In TLL the word is presented as glossing the noun pedes. However, the context (De Raptu Prosperinae) shows that the word is used to gloss pedes ... cucurrit (which can be translated, literally, as ‘to run one’s feet’), and should therefore be understood as a verb.
