(recendir) (1136-37)

[gdw]

[ FEW: 10,288b rescindere; Gdf: ; GdfC: 10,554b rescinder; TL: ; DEAF:  recendir; DMF:  rescinder; TLF:  rescinder; OED:  rescind v.; MED: ; DMLBS: 2790a rescindere ]

The term, as a derivative of rescindere, seems to be a departure from the sense of the etymon (‘to cut away, remove’). The editor of gaimar2 confirms the word’s questionable status, and rejects it without comment.
