fadome (s.xiii2)

[ FEW: ; Gdf: ; GdfC: ; TL: ; DEAF: F32 fadome; DMF: ; TLF: ; OED:  fathom n.; MED:  fadme n.; DMLBS: 894b fadmus ]
fadme,  fethom
M.E.

The glossary cited by TLL which indicates that this term is 'gallice', is frequently incorrect in its attribution of language. As the DEAF notes, it may be that this represents a Middle English gloss. The evidence provided by other mixed language citations is inconclusive and it may be that all of the below citations reflect Middle English use.
